Flight Testing Experimental Amateur-Built Airplanes, A Pilot's Home Companion, Landplane Edition Terrence J. Donovan and George Cusimano
Books with a 0 star rating(0)
$38.09
Size: 8.5" x 11"
Binding: Perfect Bound
ISBN: 9781733778916
This flight test guide presents the essentials of safe and technically sound flight testing to the amateur-builder pilot community in a practical, easy to understand way. The flight test topics deemed important to amateur-builder flight testing derive directly from NTSB recommendations and latest FAA guidance. They represent a mixture of test philosophy and “how to do it” flight test techniques subjects with an overall emphasis on best practices and safe test conduct.
Hall Cell Technology: Estimating the Anode to Cathode Distance by Voltage Measurement H.Wayne Cotten
Books with a 0 star rating(0)
$50.00
Size: 6" x 9"
Binding: Perfect Bound
The anode to cathode distance of a Hall cell is an important parameter to understand and control. If it is excessively large energy is wasted. If it is too small current efficiency is reduced. If smaller yet, the cell will become unstable. The anode to cathode distance is adjusted by moving the anode bridge to control cell resistance. It is generally assumed in resistance calculations that the bottom of the anodes are in one plane. It is also generally assumed that the cathode surface, which is the liquid metal, is static. Thus the anode to cathode distance is generally assumed to be the distance between the two parallel planes. In this paper, a simple and accurate method will be des ...
Hall Cell Technology: Power Usage in the Hall Cell Illustrated by the Use of Two Dimensional Graphs H.Wayne Cotten
Books with a 0 star rating(0)
$50.00
Size: 6" x 9"
Binding: Perfect Bound
Power input to a cell is the product of volts and current and is therefore two dimensional. In this paper, we will use two dimensional charts to visually illustrate the power input to a cell used to make aluminum and the power used to maintain the cells heat balance. In doing so, we will also explore the power efficiency of the cell as well as defining other related efficiencies.

$34.16
Size: 8.5" x 11"
Binding: Perfect Bound
Want to design your own PCBs? Don't know where to start? This book's got you covered! It's a manual on how to think about where the parts go, not just what mouse moves to do. It is aimed specifically at someone who wants to convert a schematic diagram into a practical printed circuit board. The design process is explained from schematic parts all the way down to optimizing placement and routing. The most recent edition here includes not only through-hole parts but also extension to surface mount part layout. The author has designed PCBs for decades. You can do it too!
Process Capability and its Relationship to the Associated Measurement System Capability H. Wayne Cotten
Books with a 0 star rating(0)
$25.00
Size: 8.5" x 11"
Binding: Spiral Bound
This book considers two process capability indicators (Cp,Cpk) in combination with four measurement system capability indicators and explores their mathematical relationships. This is motivated by a critical need to understand the impact a measurement system may have on a process assessment.

The Alcoa Smelting Process at Anderson County Texas H. Wayne Cotten
Books with a 0 star rating(0)
$100.00
Size: 6" x 9"
Binding: Perfect Bound
The Alcoa Smelting Process is an alternative to the Hall-Héroult process for the production of aluminum. While it is not in use today, Alcoa operated a commercial scale smelter in East Texas for almost ten years before closing it due to various operational problems. It is a very energy efficient process, using 30-40 percent less electricity than the Hall-Héroult process. If only minor changes to the original design were made, it may be the only alternative process likely to succeed commercially.
